Autumn cometh

This is the second lace loop scarf I have made using Tante Ehm’s Milanese lace pattern. I love it, though in this yarn the edges curl in rather easily. The other scarf is for my sister, just in time for the weather to turn. I’m not sure where this one will go. Here are some more pics though :)

A great pattern, easy to follow, and the Bendigo Serenity yarn with its bamboo sheen is quite lovely.

Good sense is slowly acquired

It has taken forever to make one of these, but bamboo yarn and needles called me, and here is the result: a kitchen hand towel that won’t fall on the floor, can’t be mistaken for a dishcloth, is 60% more absorbent than cotton, and infinitely washable. Proudness ^_^

Granny Tawashi, a washcloth delight

I love the idea of beautiful things that are also useful. Such are these, crocheted from my favourite organic cotton and bamboo yarns, even a little cotton silk blend. They brighten up your kitchen or bathroom, can clean up messes or just be soft and silky against your skin. Triple win! Well, I like them anyway. You can see and touch them this Sunday, if you like, at the North Melbourne market. Details are on our market page.
